Help:Split traditional articles

From BioMineWiki

Jump to: navigation, search

You are usually not supposed to add complete papers or reports unless you are aware that it may be changed and debated. Also, usually a traditional article is a too sizy chunk of information to fit directly, as it is traditionally written, into BioMineWiki. Usually, a traditional article would be splitted to several wiki-articles.

For example, when you add an article with a detailed name like "The role of clay minerals in the bioleaching of low-grade copper ore" you should try to write it as if the articles clay mineral, bioleaching, ore and copper already existed. Instead of describing clay minerals in the Introduction/Background like you probably do in a traditional article with the name "The role of clay minerals in the bioleaching of low-grade copper ore" you just refer to the wiki-articles clay mineral, bioleaching, ore and copper as if they were already described. Later somebody else may write about "The role of clay minerals in biosorption". Then they can check clay mineral and perhaps add or improve something and then refer (by internal linking) to clay mineral.
